Title................................................ Year........

Book..................................................... Publisher Almost two decades after I quit my day job to write full time, I finally get to where most science fiction authors start out ... I sell a short story to a magazine. And of course, now that I have a "brag shelf" with one copy of each book on it, I can't find a copy of this issue. (I'm also missing some of the early games, too, but that's beside the point.) Worldmakers was edited by Gardner Dozois, who was also the editor of Asimov's. Starfall is an anthology of Star*Drive stories edited by Marty Greenberg. Some of the characters in my short story appear again in the novel, Two of Minds. The next three are also edited by Marty Greenberg; he can always count on my vote (and my work) for anything he wants. One bit of news which made me proud: Dave Truesdale, founder of Tangent SF review magazine and F&SF online columnist, selected four of the short stories in Man vs. Machine for his 2007 Recommended Reading List, and my "Partnership" was one of them. The Shadowrun anthology is edited by John Helfers. My contribution was kind of fun - I got to blend some H.P. Lovecraft into the Shadowrun universe. (There's an E-Book version as well.)
